Due to having family out there, California has been a long-time regular destination for John and I. I left today with this on my mind. One thing remains constant, that's for sure. Now, I realize life throws issues at us that sometimes cause us to believe we can't afford to do things like this. There are only six things that could get in the way of you attending this event with me. They are time, family or business concerns, commitment, money, a conflicting event or simply unanswered questions. Let's talk about each one briefly.
You may be worried about taking the time away. Let's look at that honestly. The event begins on Friday morning and ends Sunday afternoon. The truth is, you can fly in from anywhere in the country and arrive Thursday night. Leaving after the event ends, you could easily be home Sunday night or Monday morning. So the time you're actually away is minimal. Two and half days filled with knowledge and wisdom you simply cannot get elsewhere. Two evenings filled with networking and relationship building, which alone, could easily give you the time you invest back again. That's right, the people you meet will provide you with an end to time wasting and draining activities!
This concern, many times, is tied into the family or business concerns. You might be hesitant to leave because of what will happen with these responsibilities. Maybe they're even asking you not to go. My thoughts are these; where else can you invest 2 ½ days and walk away KNOWING your business will improve and your family will be closer? Ask yourself the question I've posed to myself when looking to make this decision. If I stay home, will I truly make more business happen or increase the closeness of my family permanently? Once answered from the bottom of your heart, make your decision.
Perhaps it's your commitment level that's unclear. This is something only you can know the answer to. Simply ask yourself, "Do I want more? Is my life exactly where I want it to be? Could I benefit in some way from knowing how to eliminate stress, worry and doubt? Would I be happier, healthier and more loving if life wasn't getting to me? Do I want more?" Let's be honest with each other just as friends would be. Maybe your concern is money. This one is easy.
